My band went to Indianapolis for a concert with Music for All National Festival. In the middle school section, there were two bands from Texas and our band from Utah. There was another band from Utah that participated by video. I think did a great job and were even told by one of the judges to send a recording of our performance to Bob Sheldon, a composer of one of the pieces we played called "A Longford Legends." This judge is the New Jersey Symphony conductor. He even came to our clinic because he was so excited that a band our age could play! He said, "Their clinic with me and Doug Droste (Director of Orchestras at Oklahoma State University) was one of my most favorite in a long time because the students were so responsive and sensitive, just soaking it up and giving it their all. The directors are just terrific, infusing a sense of music that really "speaks" and has meaning." He also said "The DID NOT play safely, it was "art on the edge." They took chances like great artists, and occasionally it caused a little problem here or there, but the safety belts were off and music, passionate music, was being made. It does my heart good to know that this group of young people will leave a program and REALLY LOVE MUSIC, hopefully to become life long lovers of the art. Wow......couldn't get enough of these guys."
This picture was a chair at the airport! I thought it was awesome!

This was at our opening meeting.

The blurry people are from Texas. They are trying to teach us how to dance.

This is a walk way from our hotel to the mall if I am correct.

My cute friends!

At the banquet, we had an amazing dessert after a good ediquate dinner.

We got bussed and had to walk to our activities.

These are my sweet roommates!
