Spelling...

I started being creative this year and making a scrap book for my best friend for Christmas. Alex was watching me and we were having a good old time with lots of giggling and belly laughing. I thought of a clever way to write "French Horn" but wanted to make sure it worked. I simply asked Alex how to spell french horn and he replied, "wait...F-E-R...."
Later, I tried a harder word for Alex. Symphonic. Hy tried. "S-I-M-P-H..." At least he got the P-H.
Alex is actually a very good speller, but when we get laughing and all crazy-like, we siblings seem to struggle with the easy stuff.
The Next Day, I was scrapbooking again and I used the word 'sauce' but spelled it 'sause.' Alex was the one to correct me this time.

How Old?!?

Wow...A lot of my friends have been turning 16 within the last few months. A lot of them are going on their first date to the Halloween dance on Saturday. I can't believe it! They are all leaving me while I'm 15 and stuck at a marching band competition (but I love band so it's okay) to go on a date! This is crazy! 16 years old just seems so old (no offense mom). 123 days till it's my turn to become 'old!' (I do love you mom.)

We went and saw "Lion King" in SLC. It was really fun and amazing! There is a lot of talent in this world! I loved Rafiki! Although, Alex has been obsessing over "Lion King" now. He sings it in the shower and around the house. Of course, I'll join in and Kayla would join too, but I'm started to get a little annoyed with it now...He already has it memorized...

My Best Friend, Rachel, and I had a totally awesome SleepOver! We made pizzas, oreo truffles, and a big fort! :)





Alex thought the fort was so cool! He slept in it the next two nights! :)

My Speech

My 9th grade year at Farmington Jr. High was a fun one. I did well in all my classes and as I said before, I got the Leadership/Academic award. One male and one female were able to receive this. A boy named Tim and I were the recipients this year. One day during my science class, I was called down to the office by our fill-in 'principal'. Everyone in the class has to go "OHHH!!!" and start asking what I did to get called to the principal's office. One of my friends just yelled, "Bring me back some candy." I get there and our 'principal', Mr. Giesler, asked me to give a speech at our awards night for the 9th graders. I couldn't refuse, so I ended up give a speech on dreaming big. Natalie, Tatem, my parents, and Karl came. I actually enjoyed giving a speech. (Is that weird?)

I got my plaque and looked at it when I sat down. Of course, they spelled my name wrong. No one can spell it right. It was even spelled wrong on the program for the awards night. Goodness. I still haven't gotten my plaque back yet with the right spelling. I wonder when I will get that or if I ever will get it back.

Finally!

Oh my goodness! This school year has gone by so fast! I'm glad it's so close to being over. Only one week left! Thanks to all my friends and teachers, and my family, who have helped me succeed and pass my 9th grade year as the female Academic and Leadership award recipient. Have a great Summer Vacation everyone!

Spring Break fun!

Wow...it's been a long time...Over Spring break my family did lots of stuff. We spent Easter in Rexburg, went to different places in Utah, and I spent my last weekend dancing in Pocatello!

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

My dad came home with some new movies the other day. Amongst them was "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang." We started watching it and my dad pointed out that Truely kept meeting up with the main characters and joining in there songs. Somehow she new all the songs too....

Of course, since I can't stop talking, I had to say something to this comment...

Alecia: I wish my life was a movie and everyone knew the songs...
Alex: No one would watch it!!!

I had just got home from my dance recital when my family decided it was time to celebrate my birthday a day late since Karl and my Dad were camping and I had an NAL game on my birthday. For our last dance, we have to take our hair out of a messy bun and braid it...hm...great for picutres...

NAL

Yes. It's true! I joined NAL at my school aka Nerds and Losers! But we are the coolest Nerds and Losers you have ever met! We did well this year. NAL stands for National Academic League. We go around and compete against other schools to see who knows the most. There are four quarters in a game. First quarter is a trivia question directed at you and the other team with a chance to steal. Second quarter is team effort. They give out questions and the first team to answer gets the points. Third quarter is part of the team. They go and look up info. and make posters on a specific topic and answer certain questions. They present it to the judges. Forth quarter is also trivia. It is between you and another person on the other team. It's a race! This year, our team made it to the District Championship! We were on the last question with the other team up by one. It was so stressful! The intensity in the room was killing me! The other team ended up getting the question first and wining by three points. O well. We still had fun a got a big second place trophy. Silver is better that gold in my mind! It's prettier too!

I never did that well in NAL, but I enjoyed hanging out with my fellow smartical students and friends!

Milk and Brownies anyone?

Alex and I were home alone for dinner and had leftovers. After dinner, we had brownies. Of course with brownies, you must have milk. I took a drink of milk and that pesky hole in my lip let some out and I pretty much spit it out all over my pants. Alex just laughed. I put my brownie in my milk so it would soak up some. I picked up my brownie out of the milk to take a bite when it broke and it splashed me. I tried to take another drink of milk but that pesky hole in my lip did it again. All over my pants. Alex had been laughing the whole time so he wasn't helping at all. He just made me laugh harder! Alex was laughing so hard he was rolling on the floor. He stood up and looked at me and said, "You just hoarked that milk out your shnoz!!!" I couldn't help myself. When he said this I had brownie in my mouth and it got stuck for just a second in my throat. I then was on the floor laughing sooooo stinkin' hard I was crying! Tears dripped down my nose! Oh the joy of little brothers!!!! :D Love you Alex!!!
