Homecoming!

A sophomore in my ward asked me to the Homecoming dance. My group had 3 couples from my ward including me and one other couple. It was basically a mini ward party. :) It was a fun night though! Thanks Colton!

Hehe! I also like how we are standing in the middle of a dirty road in this picture...thanks people who replaced the green screen with a dirty road.

Halloween!

Marching Band!

This year was a great year for the Davis High School Marching Band! We took 1st at the BYU competition and 2nd at the other Utah competitions. At the Red Rocks competition in St. George competing with bands from other states, we took 3rd! At the Band of America pre lims, we took 3rd in our division and 4th overall. In the BOA finals, we took 3rd overall and took the Visual Caption! It was a night to remember! I love the DHS Marching Band!

Squeak! Squeak! Squeak! Go Clarinets!!!

Sometimes I get to see my Viewmont buddies at the competitions!

The three of us are basically the best of friends when it comes to band! :) I don't think I have laughed as hard as I do with them in years!

...Pageant

A word of advice: if your daughter ever asks if she can be in a pageant, tell her NO! You will thank me later.

I got some cute pictures out of it at least...

I made people cry while singing...

But I am not tall, thin, or blonde...so therefore, I could not win.

But to tell you the truth, I was ecstatic when I lost! It made it so I could do marching band and a lot of other things. If I had won, it would have taken over my life! Bleh! Dressing up is fun as is being in front of people on stage, but I will have to pursue those dreams in a different way!

Problem

On the side of most peoples' blog is says the names of other people who have blogs and how long ago it was when they updated. My blog doesn't do the update thing on other people's blog. How can I fix that so people can see on their blog when I last updated? (sorry if that made no sense...)

Davis Prom 2011

After the Priesthood session of General Conference, Cody Preszler came to my house and asked me in person to go to the Davis High Prom with him. Of course, I said yes. I felt so bad for the kid though. My grandma S. was sitting on the couch and my dad was standing on the stairs. They both just stared him down. Before he left, my dad had to tell him to be 10 minutes early to picking me up so he could be questioned. My mom said he better bring his resume and I said he might as well bring his temple recommend. We said something about a bow and arrow and a gun...As he was leaving, he looked at me very worried. "Is your dad serious?" Of course I smiled as said "Yep!"

Our activity was very fun. Our group went to Walmart and played hide-and-seek. Cody and I won the first round and found Karl and his date, Melissa, during the second round. After that, we went and played at a park and had pizza. It was very fun. The dance was enjoyable too. The girls felt so special with all the guys in the group trying to be perfect gentlemen. It was cute.

I happened to get asked to the Viewmont High School Prom by my friend Nathan. There were balloons shaped into what was supposed to be a crown and in each balloon was a crayon with a letter of his name on it.
